In 1962, Giovanni Rana started a pasta revolution in his hometown of Verona when he began to make ‘grandmothers-quality’ tortellini which he delivered by hand on his beloved Moto Guzzi bike. Back then it was simply a way to show his love to mothers and grandmothers of Italy by giving them a well-deserved rest from the handmade pasta job.
Fast forward to today and we’re still very much a family business. But we’re not just talking sons and daughters. Here at Rana we consider everyone to be part of our family. Whether that’s our employees, the buyer we buy our ingredients or you, our customer. So, fill your bowl with some of our delicious tortellone, and welcome to the Rana family.
Over half a century later and we’re still making pasta the same way, with incredible fresh ingredients from Italy’s larder, and lots of love. And it’s this kind of thinking which has made us Italy’s favourite fresh filled pasta. These days we’re on a mission to spread the love even further. After all: food and family… it’s what life’s all about and we live life generously.
